Midsummer

During this summer of 2024, while many of take much needed breaks, spend time with family and friends, grow things in our gardens and enjoy the long, warm days, we will continue to meet once per month on the second Sundays.  This coming Sunday – June 9 – will be our service which joins the celebration of Summer already in progress, with a focus on the blessedness of the season we are beginning as well as an Earth-based oriented time of worship honoring the Summer Solstice – also called Midsummer, Litha, St. John’s Day, Ivan Kupala Day, International Yoga Day, Sankthansbålet, the Day of the Sun Dance, Dragon Boat Festival, and so many more global observances.  And as summer moves forward for us at Dakota UU, we are looking forward to our two other summer services on July 14 and August 11 when we will continue commemorating this life-giving and jovial time of year together.
