This time of year in our country everyone is buzzing about Valentine’s Day.  “Love is in the air!” I believe that’s how the saying goes.  I often talk about us as Unitarian Universalists and our faith being one of inclusivity and hospitality and based in love.  In fact, we pride ourselves in our faith tradition as having love as our foundation and all other aspects of our tradition are steeped in love.  And yet, I sometimes wonder if we really understand what it means to have love as our foundation.  Do we understand the fullness of love?  And is our center really love?  I invite you to come with me this Sunday as we take a difficult look into what it means to really be grounded in love.  We are going to take a deep dive into the fullness, the wholeness of love.  I’m going to ask some difficult questions about love. What if someone is unlovable?  For example, the villians in our stories. Do we only love those who deserve our love?  What does it mean to “deserve love”? And the opposing opinions of whether or not any of us actually deserve love.  

We will walk gently together into these topics as I know they may be triggering for some of us.  I look forward to seeing you all Sunday.  And remember, I love you!
