“Making All Things New”

As we embark on another year together as a community of faith, we have much to consider moving into an unknown yet promising future. To “make all things new” is a phrase that hails from many religious and spiritual traditions such as the Zen practice of approaching the world with a “beginner’s mind” and also the Christian inspiration of renewal and enlightenment of the soul. Making all things new calls us to embark on a forward-looking journey of optimism and open-mindedness even as we honor traditions and practices of the past. We all know that learning from the past is part of how we are able to face the future, and embracing that same future as a journey of renewal and transformation requires from us the fostering of community, diligence, courage, and love. Join us as this Sunday as we explore and consider what it means to make a new way together as a congregation that ignites a bright beacon of light from the spark of hope we have kindled this holiday season.
